Collaboration live Protocol

Directions on how to perform an exam via Collaboration Live:

•Scan the patient as normal using the protocol appropriate for your exam.  Example level 3 fetal echo
•Upon completing the exam message the scribe via teams working with the doctor the patient is seeing that day. Give them report as you would normally give to the doctor:  if everything was normal, what images you could not get, any anomalies or concerns, BPP score, and Doppler values.
•When the doc is ready to see the patient the scribe will let you know and then you can call the doc from the machine following the directions below.

•What I usually do at this point is introduce the patient to the doctor by pointing the camera at the patient.
•After the doctor has been introduced to the patient turn off your webcam by minimizing that screen, and let the doc start talking to the patient.  While he is doing that start scanning the baby starting at the head and scan through showing him the structures in the brain, the abdomen, the spine, arms, and legs.  Then if the patient is a fetal echo show him a 4 ch heart, the outflow tracts, the arches, and do a sweep from the abdomen up the 3 vessel trachea view.  Then if there was anything you are concerned about  show him that (example pylectasis or CPC’s).  Then when he is done talking  ask him if there anything else he would like to see?  If he says no and says everything looks fine then let him say his goodbyes to the patient.
•Click end call at the bottom of the screen
•Walk the patient to the front desk where the doctor will have messaged them on how to schedule the patient back.
